If you have a clog bathroom drain, check your bath tub stoppers together with the drain stoppers for hair and build up of biofilm. This biofilm are mixture of bacteria, soap residue, hair, and body oils that harden as the layers begin to build up that will leads to clog drains. For your bath tub tips, you may fill your bathtub up to three fourths full and the pull out the stopper, the weight ant the volume of water will fill the pipe and flush the drain line. If you have clogged toilets, the plunger is the first line of defense. If you have an effective plunger, it can shoot jets of water to clear the drain pipe. If you are unsuccessful you can use a hand-powered drain auger, it can reach between 2 to 5 feet down the toilet’s drain pipe to break-up or retrieve things that are blocking the pipe. The best way to prevent clogged toilets is regular cleaning, and putting trash into the trash bin. If your toilet doesn’t flush quickly, you better check the vent pipes. Venting allows air to enter the pipe as water drains away. If the venting pipe has no clogged, your toilet will swirl and empty quickly when flushed, if the venting doesn’t let enough air you may hear the sink gurgle when you flush the toilets. If you think that the vent pipe is clogged, check the vent pipe opening on the roof. Un-enclosed vent pipes sometimes is the favorite spot of birds for their nest and other animals for warmth. You can also check the gulp valves that are mounted at the end of a drain line and look like a plastic cap from a can of spray paint. This valve has a dual purpose it prevents sewer gas from escaping the drain line and lets air into the vent pipe when there’s enough suction.
